Kindergarten

 

 

Our Kindergarten program is both exemplary and exciting, featuring vibrant academic activities, weekly chapel services, art, technology, music and PE.  Our students benefit from a Christian-centered quality education to help them grow mind, body, spirit. 

We have wonderful facilities including beautiful classrooms, playground, gymnasium, sanctuary, technology room, school bookstore and meals prepared daily in our fully staffed cafeteria.  Students are afforded opportunities to grow and develop in every area.  Our staff if qualified to meet your child's needs both lovingly and professionally and our academy fully complies with state and federal regulations.

Curriculum

TCA uses the traditional academic school calendar of thirty-six weeks, divided into four quarters, with two quarters making up a semester.  The Christian curriculum series from Bob Jones University Press is used for all subjects.   We utilize curriculum from Positive Action for Bible as we recognize the fundamental importance of studying the Bible and is a required subject at all grade levels.  If you have any additional questions regarding the curriculum being used, please feel free to contact our Elementary Curriculum Specialist at (386) 789-4515 x153

Admissions

To enroll in our Kindergarten Program, please email the following documents to admissions@tcadeltona.com:

  • Copy of Last VPK Assessment (if student attended a VPK program)

  • Birth Certificate

  • Copy of IEP or 504 plan (if applicable)

 

1.  Once the records are received, our admissions office will provide a link to schedule placement testing.

  • Your appointment for testing can be scheduled and paid for through a special link that will be sent to you once the records are received. There is a $50 admission testing fee which is non-refundable.

2. Documents and test results will be evaluated by Administration for admission. 
3. Notification of admission determination is given.
4. Finalize registration.

  • Complete online forms, submit additional required documents (copy of birth certificate, social security card, original school entry physical exam Form DH3040, and updated Florida Shots immunization record) and make $100 registration fee payment (non-refundable) in person at our Business Office. If you have applied and been approved for any of the scholarships we accept (Florida Tax Credit, Florida Empowerment, Hope or McKay), please provide a copy of the award letter when coming in to meet with our Business Office.

5. Pay admission fees.

  • Our Business office will discuss admissions fees when you register and indicate the date your admissions fees and tuition payment is due. Final documents must be submitted and admissions fees paid in order to start school.
