TCA accepts the following four scholarships:
1. FTC (Florida Tax Credit Scholarship) - Purpose is to expand educational opportunities for children of families that have limited financial resources and to enable children in this state to achieve a greater level of excellence in their education, the Florida Legislature created the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program in 2001.
2. FES (Family Empowerment Scholarship) - Program is one of Florida’s greatest victories for low-income and working-class families, and it is the first of its kind to extend support to middle-income families. The FES Program will provide an educational lifeline to students waiting for an opportunity to find the school that will best work for them and puts more parents in the driver’s seat to determine the best educational environments for their children.
3. The Hope Scholarship - For students in grades kindergarten through 12 who are enrolled in a Florida public school and have been bullied, harassed, assaulted, threatened and or other violent acts to transfer to another public school or enroll in an approved private school.
4. John McKay Scholarship - Program allows parents of students with disabilities to choose the best academic environment for their children. Eligible students include students who have been issued an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or a 504 Accommodation Plan that is effective for more than 6 months. Students with parents in the Armed Forces who transfer to Florida due to a permanent change in orders may also be eligible.
